http://www.linuxdevices.com/news/NS4710320428.html
Could be made to an AROS-pda.
Imagine running the same programs of the same microdrive on both your pda and desktop pc.:-D
NO MORE "SYNCING"

Hey, this is AMIGA people we talk about.

But yeah it will probably be more expensive than NanoITX, but it might be cheaper than a pc104-board.
Then there is also the powerconsumtion, essential in a pda. Ok, x86 isn´t good in that department but considering the advantages of 1.)not having to port AROS and 2.)using x86 UAE with JIT

But I will have a pocket AROS-machine some day.
My favorite homecomputers has always been Amigas and my favorite PDA Apple Newton. Now if they could be combined. :-P

No, 160Mhz StrongARM. But no one has written an emulator yet for anyplatform. Thanks to the mystery Voyager-chip.

Newton was based on the first Strong ARM chip, the Palm devices were based on 68k compatible CPUs (and AROS does run on them :-))

@Dan

I hear you brother!!! We will get AROS in out pockets :-D

yeah like GNUton?
I´m on the newtontalk mailinglist so I know about Einstein.
But it´s not useable yet.
And some stupids even talked about contacting Apple for selling roms bundled with the emulator. I´m not sure if they wanted to give Jobs a heartattack out of rage and see him die or they just wanted to be sued out of existence.
Ironic isn´t it that the beloved hippiehacker really turned out to be another Bill Gates?

I would love to have a Newton emulator on a PocketLoox 720.
Hell the pocketloox only cost half of what I paid for my Newton.

I have been thinking about this since october 1996 when I read in an interview with Petro Tyschtschenko that they had combined Alice,Lisa and Paula into one chip.
Why not make a handheld gamemachine and beat Gameboy?
Put a keyboard port on and it could be a pda too. A great presentationtool with AGA video out.
The article mentions Coldfires at 33Mhz, I feel old.

Because Gameboy will shortly crushed by the forthcoming PSP which can do PS2 kinda stuff in a portable packet, at which point the cash laden passers by will not give a hoot about 2D games.
