Hey all, as some of you may know I'm picking up my A4000 in Micronik Tower tommorow, is it worth buying a Cyberstorm PPC, to go with a prometheus?

I want to use my amiga for games and mp3 playing/web browsing.

Also will it fit okay in the micronik tower?

No experience about old games, but will enhance (a lot) Mp3 playing and websurfing for sure.

You will able to surf the net with the 060 and listen Mp3s with the 604e through the mpega.library for WOS or PUP in the meanwhile.

Pay much attention where and from who, you will purchase the CSPPC.

BTW . . .go for a 060 if you can.

You will be able to use OS4 on it. But all depends on the price of this ppc board. If it is too expensive, a MicroA1 would be better as PPC equipped Amiga imho.

I'll be as honest as I can... no it'll probably not be worth buying a CSPPC for the machine, and that's only cause it'll probably going to cost you a hole lot more than what you're getting back from it.

Not many games take advantage of the PPC and MP3 playng/web browsing will be possible on much lower specced computer (even a 040/25 should be sufficient enough for most).

Now don't get me wrong though, do you find it for cheap go for it, but you'll probably be ok with at least a 040/40 or 060/50 board.

The good thing with your computer is you already got a flying graphic card so it'll do much for the system... a netcard too ofcause. Hopefully there'll be other drivers available for you if not already then in time so you can use cheap soundcards also.
