He was probably looking at the situation from a "tactical" perspective, i.e, "a sub could easily tank this joint, we need to setup a patrol" or something similar.

As much as I dislike Bush in other ways, he *is* pretty smart when it comes to these things.

ARe you okay? Perhaps you should take a rest and rethink what you just said.

@ Glaucus
In a river?!?

People say things like this when they don't get out much. Had you ever taken the twenty minute ferry ride across the lower Mississippi river, you would know better.

Fade, I'm glad you responded here because there was something I wanted to tell you. The other day I was using IE6, I clicked on the Tools menu and sure enough I found a picture of you there! Gee, I wonder what that means?!?

EDIT: We're talking about the Arkansas River. Which is in Arkansas, where Little Rock is, where the Library is and where Bush was when he said his stupid remark about a submarine in the Arkansas river. You realize the sub would have to go through locks to get to the Arkansas river, right? Yes, technically the same body of water, but you'd have to be brain damaged to think a hostile sub could sneak along a river like that all the way to Arkansas.
