Check out this Lot of 2000's
« on: November 10, 2004, 01:46:17 PM »
Somebody scored some Prevue Amiga's at the recycler!  It looks like a custom rack mount A3000 also. I wish I had found this bunch, I would love that A3000 :-).

I'm not sure if this is the same as the "Prevue Guide" that we used to have on our local cable in Kingston, Ontario (Canada), but it sounds the same.

I always suspected that the guide was Amiga-generated, and then one day I was flipping through the channels and it had guru'd and was blinking away at a software failure message ;)

It was stuck there for a long time, so I put a fresh tape in the VCR and set it recording...  I managed to catch its whole bootup process on tape! :-D

I had one of those Prevues. Did not have an Amiga sticker anywhere on it. I gave it to Kent as I had way too many Amigas, at least for my wife's tastes.

I still have a complete Prevue A2000 with all the decals and insides intact.  It even has the software, the whole thing ran off of 1 floppy disk.  Ho hard drive was even installed.

I wish I had a way to phony up some listings :-).  I'm going to play with it some more once I get all of my Amiga's out of storage again.

Hmmm...........

I don't see an A3000 in that stack.
They all look like A2000's to me.
I'm setting here looking at my A3k
and none of them match.

Stealth ONE  8-)

There is one.  It's in a strange home-made looking rackmount case, though.  But if you look at the detail pictures, you can clearly see the A3000 zorro riser board on the rackmount machine.
