Hiya!
Does anyone know a search program, that could look up not only specified files in a given path, but also search a string of characters in every file within the path? Greetings, Scholle |

OS 3.9's 'Search' function does that (can be found in the 'Window' menu).
Pretty much every file manager should be able to that aswell (DOpus 4 Opus Magellan...). There are {bleep}loads of CLI and WB utilities for that task on Aminet SimpleFind, SRename... |

OS 3.9 standard function! Geez! I must be getting old. That's the way it goes when you don't change your user behaviour for years!
Thanks, mate! |

(standard OS 2.0-3.9 at least, probably 1.x too) Examples: Code:
1> Search path:to/search all quiet "find THIS" case 1> Search path:to/search all quiet "foo#?" pattern |
