Help! I have an Amiga 500 with 3 megs of ram. I have recently purchased two copies of the game Cadaver. When I insert disk one. The bitmap bros logo comes up and that is as far as the game will load. I get the same results with the second copy. Is this a fat vs. fatter agnus issue? Or an ntsc vs pal issue?

Cadaver runs on a 512K or 1 Mb Configuration on the A1000 and A500 using Kickstart 1.2 Disk or ROM Chip.

When I upgraded to Kickstart 2.0 it stopped working.

What version of Kickstart are you using. If you have a HardDrive or accelerator try disabling them and see if that helps.

If you do have a hard drive, accelerator and later Kickstart try using Whdload.

I am using kickstart v1.3. No hardrive and I have the standard 68000 processor. I'm not familiar with Whdload? What does that entail?

WHDLoad permits games to run from WB on all Amigas with processor/operating system upgrades, where normally the game will only run on a setup like yours only, and usually gives the ability to quit back to WB! So it makes the game WB friendly on higher specced Amigas like the Amiga 3000, 4000 with CPUs like 030/040/060. Unless you have a HD, some fast RAM and KS 2.0x or above, it will not work on your 500.
