Although what Arnold said was pretty dumb, I have to agree with you. This was a PR fumble for the Dems. Not a big deal, mind you, but they need to come up with some more clever ways to counter nonsense like "girly men" then by blowing it out of proportion. The gay's for the most part have dismissed the comments as humor and don't care. However, the Dems seem to take offence to this. Why is this only a problem they, "only" feel uneasy? If they can't say to those constituants that they are cowaring to the special intrest groups, than like the Gov. said, they are cowards and girlymen.

Let's see. Unions, 2.4 million Californians are union members.
Energy consumers, that's pretty much all of them, around 35 million.
Owners of energy companies, ummmm. A pretty small number and most of them live in Texas so they aren't even Californian.

Arnie speaks for the average man like himslef, the quintisential Californian, you know, the Austrian with the Nazi dad who is a super rich holiwood mega star married into an old rich politically connected family. Absolutly right. Reagan, Wilson and even Jerry Brown left California with big surpluses. Then comes along Gov. Gray out dooffus and leaves us in the biggest hole ever. It will be a tough climb getting out of it.
