Well I must admit, this question isn't something electronically savvy person would ask, but as I am not, I am asking this;
Some years ago I have installed this FPU on my E-Matrix 1230 accelerator card but only now I am wondering will this require oscillator for that unit? I'm not really using FPU for anything but if someday I will find time to toy around Real3D, I should have benefits of fully working FPU? I found this image on BBOAH; http://bboah.amiga-resistance.info/d...1230_1_big.jpg It DOES have double oscillators but mine is this ---> http://aijaa.com/0058210808118 So do I have to install an extra crystal for that FPU?? Thanks! |

Usually, this type of setup has a jumper that selects whether the FPU is clocked from the same oscillator as the CPU, or a separate one for running them at different frequencies. You should be good to go, but check the jumpers to be sure.
