Hi,
I just bought a Lyra 2 adapter for towerized my A1200 with a rev 1D4 motherboard. I already have an Eyetech EZ-key adapter from 1995 that is connected through the keyboard connector that I don't plan to use anymore. However, I can't install the Lyra 2 adapter on the keyboard controller chip because there's a socket (hope I've used the right term?) in the way. http://s10.postimage.org/ohoaerey1/bilde.jpg Is this socket supposed to be there? Maybe it was installed in connection whith the EZ-Key adapter? I would like your advice on the possibility of removing the socket surrounding the keyboard chip without damaging the motherboard. Thanks in advance! Kristian |
