@all
I just got a 3000T and it's locked.
The previous owner can't find the key.

Please, If anyone can sell/lend/tell me where to find one. HELP!
If you can lend it to me, I will unlock the machine and send it back asap!!!

Okay, I by-passed the switch, machine works fine, but I still want a key if anyone can help.

Please bring said key, I will ask you to unlock the tower and the key will never leave your hands!

Some time ago I was also looking for a key. I never found one. I did however lean the lock used is the same as in the Commodore PC III Tower versions. Maybe you have more luck than me finding a key.

You might want to try fishing around in your 'spare keys' drawer (if you have one) for old bikelock keys. When I had a couple of A4KT, a spare bike-lock key fitted perfectly and worked in both locks - I don't think Amiga Technologies (or Commodore) actually bothered setting the tumblers on the locks - so pretty much any key of the right size may work.

Alternatively, try asking at a key-cutting shop if they have any of the right size... try an uncut blank, it might just work.

I have a 4000D key (in fact two that came with the machine)
It's way smaller than the 3000T key lock.

Didn't everyone get two keys with their 3000T and 4000D?
What happened to all the keys???

the lock just makes the keyboard and mouse un useable, you can bypass the lock (just connect the 2 wires) or buy another one, it wasn't commodore specific

Man, just disconnect the key wire from the motherboard and you wont have this problem? Or dismantle the lock..
