The 1200 has a 68020 and 2MB of Chip RAM out of the box, and the AGA chipset. The 600 has a plain 68000 and 1MB of Chip RAM and no AGA.

The 1200 is a vastly superior machine from a technical standpoint. The only thing that makes the 600 worthwhile is that it's tiny.

One thing, though - a stock A1200 isn't much faster than an A600. It does have a 14MHz 68020 instead of the 7.1MHz 68000, but it's crippled because it has no Fast RAM. As soon as you stick a memory expansion in an A1200 it does indeed become much faster, but a stock machine you won't see much difference.
Graphics are faster, though, because of the AGA chipset.

Also I am missing A1200 from my collection.
A1200 is about 2x faster in CPU intensive tasks and after you put some Fast RAM in A1200, it runs in 4x speed when compared to A600.

A standard 1200 without fastram is still a heck of a lot faster than a 600. AGA is a lot faster than ECS, Workbench feels at least 4 or 5x quicker on the 1200 than the 600. The 600 is a slug by comparison!
