Amiga Marketplace This forum is here so that members can alert other members to Amiga items they've seen on eBay (or other auctions). If you are selling Amiga items on eBay, you might let us know about them here. Likewise, if you're selling Amiga items sans eBay, this is the "for sale" forum.

Default NOS 20" Sony PVMs on US ebay

here

Essentially a 20" 1084 - only with much better image quality, and a million features. 2 component inputs (selectable between YPBPR and RGB+CSYNC), an S-Video input, and 50/60Hz compatible.

I picked up the 23-pin connector, coax, and RG179 connectors from Connections USA. Most difficult part is soldering the little wires to the 23-pin connector...

There is a certain smoothness and subtlety of the controls that's more or less compromised (IMHO) on anything other than a 15kHz CRT display. Needless to say, gaming on these is pure perfection.

One caveat - even though they are new, UPS will thrash the heck out of the package on its way to you. I bought two of these (the other one a non-medical version from another seller), one arrived nearly perfect, the other will require some minor tweaking of the innards to get the convergence dialed in. If you are fussy, keep in mind they are fragile and might suffer a bit during shipping. There are oodles of geometry adjustments available via the service menu (individually tweakable for the various video modes, overscan, underscan, etc), but convergence adjustment requires opening the case, along with the associated dangers. I considered it a worthy risk given the price...

Right now I have one connected to an Amiga I've slowly assembled for the sole purpose of WHDLoad gaming:

C= A1200 HD/40 (pristine, all caps replaced)
GVP A1230 Turbo+ II 32MB/50MHz CPU/FPU <- love this thing! Rock solid, and say goodbye to WHDLoad access faults!
IDE-Fix Express, NOS 80GB Hitachi Travelstar
Licensed WHDLoad

Having loads of fun at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up on this! Not sure I'll pull the trigger due to shipping liability, but I've always wanted a nice Sony multi-sync. One of these days.
