C-USA might be a stain but why do we get SO MANY spam posts by the OP about this?

@vox

This is really tiring. It's like watching the losers over at moobunny as they deride OS4 purely out of habit.

Sounds like Vox applied for a job with them and they turned Vox down.

good work vox, you have the community support(99% of us..) cusa are an insult to anything amiga. i am not against an x86 amiga, but using cheap chinese of the shelves computer parts, slapping on a sticker and installing a free amiga emulator. then selling it at apple prices as an amiga. there is a limit on what is acceptable, cusa have gone far over that limitation of acceptations. they had their chance to support aros and build a hardware around this great amiga alternative. but lies, stupidity and greed took over 110%. so vox keep up your good work with the antiCUSA blog, it sends out a clear message, that this is not accepted in the amiga community.

Shouldn't this C=USA related thread be moved to the C=USA basement subboard?

While I encourage the resistance, I think the blog attempt is painfully poor.

Keep it constructive. List reasons. Links. Examples.

Entering the blog right now, all I see is a silly poll and two Youtube clips. I'm not exactly tempted to return, to put it mildly.

I agree. They are PC computers with nice but overpriced cases.

They are confusing customers but does this really rise to the level of having to start a blog?

If the purpose is to repel people from CUSA then repeling people is being a bully or being possibly offensive. Appealing to people is so much better because then you aren't a fly in the ointment of the people you're trying to heal from such nonsense.

If the blog writer's endevour is perceived as toxic then how does that help the Amiga community?

Will there be an Amiga community in 20 years from now and how does everyone's anti-CUSA blog effort improve our chances of surviving if we're perceived as toxic?

There we go.

Why are we even replying to the post. Keeping it alive. Same as C=USA, people are drawn to it like a traffic accident. If there were no responses to it, it would scroll away quicker than line 10 on the listing of a blitz basic program.
Agree with the vibe of most of the posts. Positive, creative, delivering outcomes, not negative, distructive, delivering chaos.

Its a commercial venture. If people didn't want them they wouldn't sell. People obviously want them. As mentioned previously it may even awaken the need for the real thing...

I love Amiga's too and have been a member of the Amiga Community since 1989 (Andy's Attic BBS). But I don't own the rights to the name C=USA do.

I agree with you there.

C=USA were on the right track with 64x case, they then lost the plot but kept all the bad points (weak unexpandable onboard graphics, ditto northbridge/southbridge etc plus low value for money and presentation) and they deserve all the bad press but unless we have something better to contribute there's not much to say and it doesn't seem to have any real point.

Hopefully soon I will have some Amiga PCs that look like Amigas. I may have 10 available in a couple of months, when I am happy with my work I will post more.

(Even the GUI is being worked on for the pre-installed OS)

Fail to see what these "C-USA R POOPYHEDS!" blogs do *except* for give C-USA more steam, tbh. If you're going to smack talk them, at least do it in an intelligent way, the old "12 year olds with nerd rage" angle just stains anything valuable you are actually trying to get across.
It will not give them any positive steam. Yes I could pretend they don`t exist but my policy is not to let evil pass by, because problems only grow.

You can say my blog is pathetic, but it contains history and Amiga moments, and everyone is invited to give real Amiga contribs.

Idea is not to make it just C=USA bashing, but something that with outlive C=USA and promote what Amiga is.

All that complain and say its pathetic - go on build a better blog.

I already have a job I am happy with and intend not to open a new company.

You have been called, you can be grunchy granchies about everything or send something of your own Amiga experince that will be published.

In the end, its up to you. I don`t expect everyone to like it.

And yes, I believe C=USA is pathetic way of doing bussiness - a not only Amiga related but worldwide example what NOT to do.

So its educational. jokes, touch of my style, Amiga news and preservation of C=USA failures. Laugh you a laugh, day they killed their old forum, some things are preserved at blog only.

Yes, idea is that blog sends a clear message what is Amiga and what isn`t in despite of name.
