Hey Ben, I've finally been able to test my GBS-8220 properly and there is a small amount of ghosting noticable playing games but I've stopped noticing it pretty quickly.

I just wish I could afford a nice new 60" Panasonic Plasma for the lounge cause my 50" Pioneer plasma Monitor would be in my Study/Games room real fast!

Hi All,
Sorry about not getting to the catch up the other day, life is just very busy at the moment.
I'd love to catch up soon though.

No worries mate, hopefully we can get a community center room for a reasonable cost and all drag our Miggy's over.

Hi Derek, Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to stick with my 1084s for a little longer, atleast until the new firmware comes out for the Indi MK2. Then I'll probably either buy an Indi (assuming the reviews are good with the new fw) or get a PC monitor that can sync down to native 15Khz modes. I'm quite happy running my Amiga in a low res (640 x 200) as I like it to be responsive but it would be nice to have 640 x 480 interlaced working through the indi mk2 as I doubt that would slow things down too much.

@Wakido - No worries mate, as mentioned by Derek we'll have another meeting soon and bring along our hardware.

Guys, if you can pardon the mess - I'm in the middle of renovations - my place will be available for our next meeting. The computer room gets painted tomorrow, and I'll be able to migrate my X1000 and my Evil PCs in there, and I'll set up a couple of A500s and my old A1200, as well as the C64 & the Turbo Chameleon ...

I'll try to leave enough space for your machines ;-)

I live in the North East, just down the road from Tea Tree Plaza.

Now, we've just gotta pick a day and time ...

I'll have to set up the CDTV too. I haven't tried it out yet.

Sounds Good mate, I look forward to it!

Hopefully my Miggy's DVD/CF-IDE/PSU combo will be finished by then and I can bring it along too.

I hope so too. I want to do something similar for one of the A500s and I'd love to see what you've done.

Sounds great Ian, How about a Friday night some time in September? I think I'm available pretty much any Friday night.

I'll just bring it along regardless then.

Looks like I was a little optimistic about when the computer room will be ready :-( Still needs some preparation before the final coat.

I'm hoping everything will be ready in about 5 weeks. Hope I'm not still being optimistic ...

I booted up my old 1200 last night, and, after a bit of fiddling, it booted up nicely.

But this morning all I get is the Kickstart screen. Alas, my hard drive is pining for the fiords. The A1200 lasted just long enough to remind me how pretty she is :-(

No worries mate, 5 weeks is fine. It'll be like a commodore museum when you're finished!

That's the aim. I need a few more old computers though. What I wouldn't give for a PET.
