Cool Hi there!

I'm into Amiga's since 1993. In the early days I used them mostly for gaming, but later I was running a cable-newspaper on an A2000 for a few years. After that I started programming in AmosPro. First some simple games and later also password protection programs.
My latest version of SysLock is finally ready and can be downloaded from Aminet.
Any comments or bug reports are welcome.

It was programmed in AmosPro, so I don't think I can write it for other Os'es than
OS 2.0 -> 3.9. For example; AmosPro can't handle high screen modes very well.
SysLock is only for "real" classic systems.
If there's a need for such a program on other platforms then maybe someone else
(with the right skills) is willing to program it in a different code language.

I'm not sure what you mean, but Amos isn't exactly "new". The latest version is from 1993. Besides that, I don't have machines with OS4, MorphOS or AROS running on it. So no way to develop such new program.
Thanks for your suggestion, though.

It does appear this utility is just ran during boot.. so if I boot without startup-sequence I can rape the harddrive as much as I want. Placebo protection imo

No, I'm afraid that's not possible anymore. I wrote a special routine that shuts the CLI window in the Early Boot Menu. That's why this is the best "locker" program around!
If you want to use the Early Boot Menu's CLI window again and want to get rid of SysLock from your HD, then just use the "REMOVE SYSLOCK" option in the main program and then everything on your system is back to their original state.
I uploaded an udated ReadMe file + nice Glow icon to Aminet. It should be on the new list by tommorow.
