Yes, you are correct; it is a replacement PLA clone. It's supposed to be more compatible than any other PLA clone made from EPROMs. FWIW, others make PLA clones (like Eslapion in Montreal, Quebec).

How does one identify a broken PLA chip? I have a C64c that won't start - could this be the problem?

Lot's of A500 owners will probably modify their A500 to have 1 MB Chip RAM.
That's a relief. I can't wait to get my hands on the accelerator.

It's great to see that new boards are released for classic Amiga systems.

I wonder if the ACA500 can use its RTC port on an A500 that already has an RTC in the trapdoor.
I still have one in my trapdoor expansion, but I had to remove the battery, so it's currently useless.

Wow, I've herd of ingratitude before, but this is a down right smack in the face. If you want to be so snide, keep it to yourself. For a one man show, he's doing a great job...

Nice hardware.

Too bad it's not getting any faster though.

Would be cool if he was, one day, selling an 060 accelerator with 256MB Fast RAM for the Amiga 1200 (if that's even possible, technically).

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but just got an A500 a few days ago and am looking for bits to add to it. Any updates on when the ACA500 might be available?

Thanks!
