Hi All,
I have decided this month to start a blog focused on the AmigaOne X1000 system. It includes tips and tricks I have learnt to get stuff working on the X1000, applications or utilities of interest on AmigaOS 4.1.5, and general X1000 information of possible help or interest to current or future AmigaOne X1000 users. The website is http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/ Already there are a couple of Game reviews, AmiCygnix 1.1 setup how-to, HP Printer setup how-to, Inside X1000 pictures and HD upgrade setup info, mui-owb, mui-mplayer how-to, how to change default image viewers and more too! I am adding new content as I try more stuff out, and I have a backlog of stuff already done to add in, so expect to see a lot more content added reasonably regularly to what is already there. I hope over time it will ultimately be useful, helpful or interesting to somebody out there. If nothing else it allows me to collect tips and tricks I learn in one place for easy reference later on. :-) Catcha, Epsilon |

Actually if I could walk into a local store and pick one up on an interest free HP deal like other PCs (and back in the 90's with classic Amiga's) I'd buy it :-)
The upfront cost is not something I could afford.

Nice blog, i really like it.
So this X1000 is a real Amiga then. I had seen it a while ago but wasn't sure if this is really an Amiga with some backward compatibility. Not even sure how much they run, since i did not dare to put me on their waiting list. Its nice to see that there are still people using an Amiga all day. If i have money, i might buy one. Right now i to broke. ![]() I like the tip with html5. So simple but it never occurred to me. |

Hi All,
Today I have added a game mini-review of Hurrican 1.0.6 using Wazp3D on the X1000. It also includes some installation help for Wazp3D as part of the review for those who don't have it installed as yet - Wazp3D is needed to run Hurrican on the X1000 at the moment, until we have the 3D graphics drivers. You can take a look at the lastest blog entry at: http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/20...-106-with.html I hope you enjoy it! Catcha, Epsilon |

Thanks for your kind words about my blog! The X1000 is a lot of fun! @all I have updated my blog today with two entries: The first entry is about running AmiCygnix applications in Standalone mode (windowed) under AmigaOS4 on the X1000 (and how to create your own standalone scripts for applications without a standalone launcher. http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/running-amicygnix-standalone.html The second is about PixelOz's fine Amiga HD wallpapers that have now been added to my X1000! It looked so good I had to share it! http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/new-hd-wallpaper-for-x1000.html I hope you find them interesting! Catcha, Epsilon |
