Hrmm. You know, tldaley, newbee and acefnq are all Adelaide next gen Amiga owners too (and Epsilon and myself).

I wouldn't be bringing any equipment anywhere (my mode is transport is bus). I'm probably the fussiest eater out of the lot. My diet is horrible. So, sharing a pizza is out of the question unless you guys like almost nothing on it Of course that doesn't stop anyone else ordering a pizza and sharing it. I'll just be the odd one out. I might be seen as a bit of a SAP (http://bit.ly/9pXwLt) at times.

A like the idea of a cafe or hotel, and it allows us to individually order whatever we like.

Wooohoo, the Wife told me my 500+ showed up today so now im just waiting on the PSU from Amiga kit and some other bits - in the mean time i'll de-solder the battery in preparation for my CR2032 kit arriving and give it a general check over.

cool

That's 7 confirmed and 1 maybe. I suggested cafe bravo because I think it sells a variety of food so should be good for everyone, its also licensed.

MickJT, are you the guy that wrote the MSN client?

For the second meeting it might be good to meet at a community hall or somewhere similiar so we can demo machines etc. I think this is what the Melbourne group do. Would also be a good way to assist each other with troubleshooting and share ideas.

@MelbourneBen

Yeah. I did the arexx AmiMSN client and also ported a bunch of stuff like ffmpeg, Lugaru, a modified e-uae and the xamos port. But make no mistake; I can't code at all (other than arexx), except for very minor modifications.

"Hello World" is the best I can do. Compiling is relatively easy.

Hint. Suggest a LIR2032 lithium coin battery which is 3.6V. The Amiga will expect 3.5v and a CR2032 @3V will probably work fine but may drop out earlier than expected.

Cameng, Epsilon, can you make it?

How about Cafe bravo on the parade in Norwood?

Sorry for the delay in responding - been off sick in bed the whole of last week.

Cafe Bravo sounds good to me, look forward to catch up with some fellow Adelaidean Amigans!

I think in the first instance getting together informally is good, and then we can decide after that whether we want to have a community centre room hired or similar based regular event that allows us to bring machines, etc. I missed out on the user group thing when it was most popular, and with such a small Amiga community in Adelaide, it would be good to get something happening locally so we can help each other out and learn more about our Amigas.

Catcha,
Epsilon

Bravo is pretty easy here too.
Wow - I know they say Adelaide is 30miutes and 30 years behind, but I am very surprised by the number of Ami users here...
