I also wash my genitals and backside after using the toilet by the way. Such practices are not uncommon to pagan cultures Ironic as it may seem hygiene does not equate to being civilized, the Aztec would bathe 3 or 4 times a day, probably to wash off the blood from the pumping hearts ripped from the chests of adults and children alike. Hitler was fastidiously hygienic too and he was far from most peoples ideal of a civilized man.

Some dude in the Middle east invented it, though he forgot to register the patent world wide. Subsequently, the Chinese, the Indians and the Greek created their own copycat products.

I generally consider that civilization is the herald that marks the end of civility.

No disrespect to the Sumerians, but remember that a lot of those are the first instances we have records of, largely because the Sumerians are the first people we know of with a real writing system. Doubtless people had law systems of some kind before then, and I guarantee you they had love songs

Come on Moderators...do your job! What nicholas wrote here is a clear act of religious and racial discrimination and hatred against Christianity, the Spanish, and basically every Christian country in the world. How come he hasn't been banned for this? Has he been warned? Isn't this supposed to be a family site? As moderators do you find this acceptable? I certainly don't, and nor do I want to read such trash on here again. |

At the risk of being shot down, a lot of these customs are ancient and tribal and make their way into more modern texts as basically "sanitory guides". Simular cultural traditions exist in many regions from Europe to SE Asia.
In Australia things can be very different by necessity. I remember once being in the bush and needing to go, so I went behind a tree. I was doing my business when a Rabbit came around behind the tree and started doing it's business as well. Jokingly i knodded towards it and asked it if It's poo stuck to its fur. To my astonishment the rabbit shook it's head in reply. So I picked it up and wiped my bum with it. Ta dahh..

Can we get back to talking about beer? That's what's really important here.
