just wondered aint used bbs in years do you still have to use a modem and dialup a bbs?

Nope i use my system with NetSerial this software act like a Virtual modem for running every BBS Software i like and i can set the rest up on telnet, so it used a virtual modem like a real old modem ATZ commands etc bet i can set it up on telnet for the rest ....
