Back before all this Internet hype, people were playing games, meeting lifelong friends, downloading files, chatting and sending mail via a service known as a BBS (Bulletin Board System).
BBSes were VERY popular and at one time there were almost 50,000 BBSes in the U.S. alone and hundreds of thousands across the world.
Since the late 1990's people have pretty much put aside BBSes because they feel they can get the same and more amounts of information via the Internet and WWW. People are now saying "BBSes are dead!" or "Just give it up!".

BBSes are NOT dead--there are several BBSes on the Internet at excellent speeds, with some really cool people and great content.
BBSes are great because, let's face it, there are just some things the Internet and the World Wide Web will never be able to do and there are a lot of things that annoy most people that you won't find on a BBS.

I dont get a response from Syncterm @ the address renovatorbbs.dyndns.org @ port 5432 using telnet.. hmmm

Works fine for me, takes a little while for wildcat to display. Must be an ANSI detection that it's doing, maybe just set it to ANSI no auto detect on the BBS side it might speed it up :-)

Ok it works under Putty but not under Syncterm for me with ANSI settings changed

Thanks i do the best i can about the speedup this is no ansi detection it is normoly becoss i run it also on normal ports dailins also so there is is looking on also i do a lot of thinks and this is the resion...

I have updated my BBS Software, and remove all the PC software so now it is only a Amiga board that just runs on a PC.

I have just installed the new QWK door now also availble for everyone that like to read fidonet and amiganet offline mail.... It's the old way's and this is nice....
Becoss a big in the file lister on BBS the date's was not correct i have fix this now also!
