Default The OS4 Notebook

...or netbook, rebadged LimePC, whatever you want to call it.

Any news? I know it's only been six months since it was announced, but had a spare minute so thought I'd ask.

Naghhh, for something that is due out this summer....

things sure have been quiet about it.

Vapor anyone?!

An affordable OS 4 machine is certainly too good to be true.

I don't care if this is a rebadged LimePC whatsit. At least it will have some perceptible lineage to the "Amiga concept". My money waits for one.

I'm still tentatively interested, assuming they ever actually get around to doing it...

They won't....

A low-cost portable OS4 compatible computer has too much chance (however slight) of being an actual success for them to ever risk releasing it.

I have a theory

its like in the Shawshank Redemption when the old guy Brooks (who had lived in the prison system for a very long time) was actually up for parole and tried to do something to sabotage it because he was afraid of living back in society.

Sounds feasible.

Ha, that's the most logical explanation I've heard yet.

LimePC no longer allow you to navigate to the PPC netbooks (or any PPC computers) on their website.

I did find this though........ http://www.limepc.com/z9.shtml

Interesting but no doubt out of production I guess.....so probably being worked on by Hyperion right now

I wouldn't assume it's out of production if they've removed older models from their site but not that one. (And it's not the only PPC machine on their site, there's also this thing.) Though there's so little information on production or ordering that it's hard to say one way or the other. S'pose someone could email them and ask...

Edit: Okay, I emailed them. Dunno if/when I'll get a response, though.
