Yes, this appeals to my "buy one of each" instinct. But right now I've just got too many projects going to follow through with that urge.
Maybe Mike's board is the best answer.

If you have an existing C64 or C64C then it plugs into the back, provides a VGA video out, floppy emulation (to allow *.D64 or *.PRG use), tape emulation (*.T64), cartridge emulation (*.CRT), extra RAM and speed for GEOS and lets you use any devices plugged into your actual C64 like joysticks, mice, real floppy/tape drives.

IF you don't have a C64 handy then the whole cartridge will work in a standalone mode (plug in a PS-2 keyboard) and if you attach the optional docking station then you can use the joystick ports on that.

There's much more too it You can use a CDTV IR remote as a joystick, run a Minimig core, run a ZX Spectrum core, etc, etc.
that sounds real cool, but how do you deal with keys missing on the C= 64 that are on the Amiga core? other than the external PS2 i mean?

The part I find amusing is the idea of booting Amiga OS on a C64.
