I downloaded Amikit last night and the website gave me a link to a Trialpay offer so that I could obtain the basic AmigaForever package (supposedly for the ROMs).
But after downloading them both, I found the the ROMs included in basic version of Amigaforever can not be used outside that package (making them useless for Amikit). Thanks guys.

I also installed Amikit yesterday and used an old Amiga Forever CD. To copy the ROM-file wasn´t enough - you have to copy also the romkey file. There is a readme file in the Amikit package where this is described.

Where are the ROM key files located?

Yes, there's one more version called "Value", which can be obtained for free via Trialplay, however it is very basic edition and it does NOT include required system files suitable to use with AmiKit. If you found a link or page on my website stating otherwise, please let me know and I will correct it.

Just use an unencrypted ROM file.
They're easy enough to find. |

I haven't had much luck finding any that are useful.
Maybe I ought to just upgrade AmigaForever.

You can generate your own unencrypted rom file from within the emulator.

Did you check the readme file for AmiKit1.6? I thought it had instructions on how and where to find the ROM files and the ROM key from the AmigaForever CD (or ISO in your case).
You don't need to update to any different version of AmigaForever. You already have everything you need. Have fun, AmiKit is great.

I have updated to 1.6 and now to 1.6.1. At last I noticed that NetSurf is there. And it didn't work - for some reason ixemul v63 hadn't been installed. So some handwork was required and now it works.
