I installed MorphOs, and I am enjoying it so far, but I am really not a fan of running programs the way we did in 1990... (opening a series of folders to find an application). I would like to find a nice dock launcher, but the boing launcher is a dead link, and IconLauncher crashes instantly when trying to read a file and there is no documentation.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Also, are there any must have utilities for MorphOs? I'd like to play some demos anmd write some code, but I am not into games.

You can use the builtin panel feature from Ambient.
Menu -> Objects -> Panels -> New

Then you drag your applications onto it.

There are also other 3rd party launchers if you need something different. PolynetNG, toolmanager and many many more.

Must-have utilities? Depends what you want to do... For coding, try the MorphOS SDK

Ambient's current built-in panels are nice, but limited. PolynetNG is pretty good, but has some annoying quirks (eg sub-dock positions are absolute, not relative to the main dock position). Haven't tried any others..

Thanks guys, Panels works just fine... took me awhile to figure it out because it was more simple than I expected (much like the first time I used OSX).

Will check out MorphOS SDK
