Default PAL to NTSC

I do have a possible source for a 6A motherboard that has been tested and confirmed good, but it's PAL and I'm in Texas where the norm is NTSC.

How difficult would it be to convert it to NTSC or is this even possible?

Would it even be necessary using a 1084 monitor or an Indivision ECS display board?

If you've read my other board, you know I do have a couple of potential donors for chips.

Unless you're planning on genlocking or using an A2024 monitor you'll just have to swap Agnus. In case there's already an ECS Agnus on board you'll just have to ground pin 41.
Most Amiga monitors can be adjusted to sync to 50 Hz, so you might be just using PAL as well.

So if I have a mini-mega memory for NTSC, swap that out and I'm good to go?

Sheesh, sounds almost too easy!

A 1084 monitor supports PAL modes no problem.

the indivision ecs will allow you to use modern lcd in PAL or NTSC no problem

Hmm i wonder does your composite output in NTSC mode give you NTSC output? or is it still PAL?

A500 doesn't have a composite out except for Mono. You need an external adapter to display PAL or NTSC. An Indivision ECS is worth it for no other reason than to get the 256-color chunky output display mode.

Well, I picked up the PAL 6A motherboard.

Should have it in a week or so.
