I have one for several weeks now and although it does the job, the ventilor of this card makes a terrible noise (the pc is on the bench, not on the floor) when playing borderlands or alien swarm.
brand is MSI, if you want to know !

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll probably go for this card unless anyone has any other suggestions on something better for not much more money?

Thanks for that link. After looking up the prices of better cards they seem to be a fair bit more expensive than the one I'm looking at. £140 would be my absolute maximum.

The 6870 is £70 more in the UK which makes it more than I was looking to spend. This was going to be put into a machine with an Intel E5200 @ 2.5GHz and 2Gig RAM.

5770 is great, I have got a 5830 and it is a beast! You might need a bigger case as they are huge.
