Default AROS + catweasel machine?

I'm considering putting together a non-classic Amiga system for the first time, but I'm still not set on the idea. Even though I'm just a hack, perhaps I can do a better and faster job than the new "Commodore-Amiga" plan (which will also be run by hacks so far as I can tell).

SO MY QUESTION IS: Does anyone use AROS with a catweasel in order to run old classic Amiga software from floppy disk? If so, how possible, or (not) seemless is it to do so? What is your experience with it? Thanks for your input.
