No but was wondering why you were buying a standard PC DVD burner from an Amiga dealer when any local computer shop could have helped most likely.

Hi took delivery of a new Pioneer DVD drive this morning (don't know why I said Panasonic before !)

I have tried it out and can't get it to burn any DVD's at all. Tried FryngPan / AmiDVD and my own Progs (see the Thread 'Opinions Wanted For New DVD Burner Utils).

FryingPan attempts to burn the disc and after a very long wait (it looks like it's burning the disk all the way to the end) all I end up with is a disc with just a few Kb of data on it (another coaster for the collection!!!)

AmiDVD just sits there with 0% in the progress bar and the sleep pointer, the only way out is resetting the Amiga and a disk with just a few Kb again (yet another coaster !!!)

DVDburnISO & DVDduplicate (my own progs) start to burn the discs but at least they stop after burning a few Kb of data with an error message. (still another coaster for the collection !!!)

I have contacted AmigaKit (where I bought the drive) for help and I am waiting (hopefully) for a reply from them.

Does anyone out there use this drive, it's a Pioneer DVR-A18LBK. If you do and yours is working fine, could you please contact me and let me know how yours is set up.

I have tested it on the following set ups

A1200 Blizzard060/PPC603 60Mhz/240Mhz/ 256Meg Fast Ram / 2x500Gb HD's / FASTATA MKII
A1200 GVP030 40Mhz / 4 Meg Fast ram / 160Gb HD / 4xEIDE
