Can anyone make me a custom cable for indivision ECS? The one they provide is too short for my mounting needs. It needs to be 6-8 inches longer. Can anyone make me a custom cable or know anyone or any store that could or would?

You would firstly need the pin outs for the card. Then buy a flat ide or floppy cable and a crimping tool (around $20). Or any PC repair place should be able to make up the cable for you. Next it will need to be soldered to it's connectors.

So it's a 15 pin VGA cable then. I see you can get 16 way ribbon:
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...e&form=KEYWORD Pinout: http://pinouts.ru/Video/VGA15_pinout.shtml It's quite an easy soldering job if you want to do it yourself. I think I found what you were after: http://www.myshopping.com.au/ZM--359...ables_Adapters http://icop.com.tw/cable.asp It's a VGA ribbon card for low profile graphics cards, I have a short one on my ATI 4350.

The longer you make a ribbon cable to use on a VGA source, the more likely you are to have image problems (ghosting especially.) If I were going to go to the trouble of making a new cable, I think i'd see about cutting up a nice shielded VGA cable and attaching it to the IDC connector.

Is the cable long enough to mount on a bracket at the Video Slot on the Amiga (left of the power supply)?

@zipper - are you saying that you seell these?
@omnicron10 - Well that should quell fears of image ghosting.... I am getting a quote from cables to go for the following cable: Description: 2.0F VGA Flat Ribbon Cable / Specification: 2.0 F 10-pin Socket connector to 15-pin Female High Density D-Sub connector / Cable Length: 18 Inches We'll see what they want for a pair of them... |

for people using longer than "normal" non-shielded video signal cables, you can try wrapping 'em around a small beaded ferrite magnet. That usually helps with distortion and ghosting in these cases.

Apologies for the lack of reply: please send an email to our technician ( technical [at] amigakit.com ) and we will quote for the cable. Thank you.
