Hey there, I don't know if anyone can help me but I'm having some trouble with my Amiga and I don't really know what the problem is.

When turning it on the screen will go red and the power light will flicker

After this the screen will go black and appear to boot as normal from the hard drive, but then I get the following error:

Program failed (error 80000003)
Wait for disc activity to finish.

If I try to boot from the floppy I have mixed results.

Booting from the Workbench floppy allowed me to boot the Amiga on a previous occasion, however today it produced the same error as booting from the hard disc.

I tried loading a game from floppy after getting nowhere with rebooting, powering off and on and trying the workbench disc and it loaded up fine. After rebooting from this it booted from the hard drive as normal.

Could anyone help me figure out what might be the issues here? I'm hoping its just the hard drive failing and nothing more serious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pop it open and disconnect the hard disk completely, or any memory expansion too.

Of course I can't get that error to come up now, but will try that next time it occurs.
