No other strategy game can compare to the large number of elements this masterpiece has.
Read about it here and on its website. Get it on aminet or at its website. |

Well they both: Run on Amiga Are 2D Explore a Dungeon so you could say they are -anything- alike. nethack = 1 player only Total Chaos = 1 to 8 players nethack = control only 1 thing, your character. Total Chaos = control your character + every monster you summon + every artifact you capture After I played Total Chaos, nethack seemed really boring to me, because its more fun IMHO to control wizard + army + air force, instead of just one little guy. nethack has no animation Total Chaos has many Amiga-quality animations. In fact the gfx in Total Chaos are so much better than nethack that it actually improves the gameplay. (Try pressing 'L' for LOS as 1 example.) nethack has no music, at least the version I played many years ago. Total Chaos has lots of beautiful Amiga-Quality music. Total Chaos has realtime 50 fps Line of Sight raytracing. Nethack doesn't. nethack is more of an RPG. Total Chaos is more about the application of military power using strategy and tactics. Hopefully other Total Chaos players can give you more info. |

1-8 players on same machine. At parties we have done 5 human players + 3 cpu players. It was a blast! Quote:
You don't really play by yourself. Your Amiga 1200 is very friendly and will happily play against you (on enemy team) or with you (on your team). The difficulty level is very adjustable. Do you dare to fight against the awesome power of the mighty A1200? |

HORRI BLE BUG FOUND!
The sound decompression acciddentally requires ixemul.library. What this means: The first time you run the game, if ixemul.library is not present then your sound fx, music and speech will not decompress and your game will be mute forever more. ![]() I sincerely apologize for this stupid mistake. A fixed version that will work even if you don't have ixemul will appear on aminet in a few days. Sorry for the inconvenience. P.S. Dontcha just hate ixemul? :-? #$@!?#&! |

I've noticed some ppl complaining about the size of the music drawer.
Hey, boys! After listening the very same musics (30? I've never count...) for about 6~10 months, I need to say one thing: PLEASE, Mr. Conwell, put more musics (a lot, if you could) inside the game. PLEASE!!! |
