Default Mediator FastEthernet Users

I am collecting a list of users with a Mediator and FastEthernet card to send to Elbox. This is to help show them the many configurations and also the users that are having problems with lockups and those that are not.

I want to show what hardware we use and get a good report of. Please use the following format and email to me at acill@amiga.org

Dont be so quick to blame fastethernet for the lockups. I use PCMCIA ethernet and associated drivers and patches and have always had totaly random lockups (usualy under filesharing or high speed downloading). The fix is there, but it seems tcp stack itself isnt totalt blameless..or maybe its the cnet driver it self ..hmmm

I would have to agree with that. When I used to use PCMCIA Ethernet on my A1200 before I sold it, the cnet.device driver would easily cause a lockup if I closed and reopened it.

The mediator doesnt use the cnet.device. i know for sure it a driver issue. I put in a x-surf today and it works perfectly with no lockups.

it works in both my main amiga's , the a1240ppc and the a1260ppc , both have os3.9bb2 and miamidx installed and they use realtek 10/100 with mediator pci a1200 (not SX)

never had a crash because of it...

REV 1d on both mobo's ..
