Default Nokia Develops Portable Game Player

Look out, Nintendo--Nokia wants a piece of the action.

On Monday, phone maker Nokia announced plans to develop the N-Gage, a portable device that combines the functions of a phone with a portable game player."
"

Read the complete article at Extremetech.

"Few details of the device were available, including price. The n-Gage should be introduced early next year; the Reuters news service incorrectly reported that the N-Gage should be in the market by February. Instead, the phone will be officially announced in February 2003, and shipped later in the first quarter, according to Nokia representative at the company's U.S. offices."

Isn't this the same machine that was previously announced as an Amiga partner, then scrapped? Are they still to be running Amiga?

I belive it was the Media Terminal deal that fell
through.
They *may* still have open channels to Nokia,so.....

It looks very similar to the Casio 'game pad style'
phone,don't you think?
Screen looks a too bit small.
But other that that,it looks good.

Of course, here in Italy 9 persons in 10 have a mobile phone, and in Greece Nokia is the most common mobile phone.

I don`t know much that own a nintendo super colour GameBoy (I know many with the old one). And after all Gameboy isn`t also a phone.

I definetly hope AmigaDE is available for Nokia telephones (Nokia RuLeZ) and I also hope AmigaOS4.0 comes with an AmigaDE compiler so I can make some games for my mobile :-D (I have also an Amiga logo on my Nokia :-D)

AmigaDE could be for our AmigaOS4.0 what java is now for Windows and Mac.
