@Joe: i understand your situation 100%, believe me.
Im too, unemployed at the moment (for the last 3 months), and the only thing that is keeping me alive in both sides is Amigaland.

Firs, because selling some of my most precious stuff (like PPC cards and graphics card), have kept me alive, and with money to pay bills and to buy food

Second, because some true friends from amigaland in my homeland (argentina), are very very nice with me, buying most of the stuff i offer them, or lending me some money or gear to sell...

Anyway, im very very sorry for your situation. Believe me, its a reflex of my situation, only difference is that you are in USA, where many active Amiga users and lovers will find a TREASURE what you have, and im located in a country which has 50 Amiga users as maximum (and i know each and all of them) and general income is veeeery down at this moment...

i hope your lovely collection finds a new home, rest in good hands and that your situation improves

Keep the faith my friend!!!!

Strong Amigan hug from this part of the world

Sebastian

Gavilan, and all the rest of the nice Amiga folks, thank you so much for your nice words, and concern.

Gavilan, I hope you can find work soon and get back on your feet.. It's really tough out there for anyone... It's not funny but this sale will help pay my mortgage for a month..

I will be selling the stuff to icbrkr in Arkansas who is coming up on next Friday about a 6hr drive to grab up all the gear he can take back with him...

It so nice to have such a close knit society of folks who actually care about others as we have here on Amiga.Org..

Sorry about your luck
I hope you manage to find work really soon, maybe you'd be able to get at least one Amiga back in the home.

If you happen to have any leftovers, especially A1200 (or anything AGA) or A2000 stuff, I'd be very interested in buying it.

My collections needs expanded badly...as it looks pitiful next to my Atari ST collection

Edit:
I just noticed you have a loose 8375 Super Agnus there...
If you have a Super Denise as well that's loose and gets left behind...well anything left behind, let me know!!!!

The current economic situation just plain sucks in general. Even while I bring a truck up there, I'm worried about the current lay-off situation at work because for all I know, I'm next. I definitely feel for anyone going through this. We've known people laid off from their work after 20+ years - I would imagine it would be hard to start over after all that time invested.

AtariST collection? Traitor! Okay, I can't really speak, I have an 1040ST, 1040STe, and a semi-beatup TT030 but there's just not as fun as the miggy.

Lots of emails about leftovers holy cow..

Well if icbrkr leaves anything he doesn't want to take down South with him same deal for all CASH and carry lol...

My wife's... paycheck is the only one we have now, and the mortgage is due soon, thus all money is going to living expenses, and the tax refund when it comes back will help for a couple months.. as well..

When we get back on our feet the first thing I am gonna do is save a bunch of cash.. Holy hand grenades it sucks not to have cash in a bank account..

Then I will find a nice used Amiga 500 and start again :-)

That's very sad, and the true hard time hasn't been came yet.
Best french economist think, it will really start in 6 month for 2 years at least.

I pry that you don't have those bloody variable rate mortgage like these 2 millions of US citizen that will lost theirs house this year...

The only advice i can give you, it to try to get quickly a job in a supermarket waiting for something better... :-o

icbrkr and his jeep came and went they bought everything including that case that was bent.....

They came with cash and took off with computers lashed
from stem to stern they bought it all...You know not the kind of stuff you could find in a mall...All my Amiga are gone for now not sure how i had collected so many in all...

I had literally thousands of Amiga things he took off with...I guess the morale of the story is the list..

You are what you collect and that's no lie Because icbrkr rode away with his friend I thought i saw them high five..

So if you collect Amiga and your world runs out of cash
remember this ditty that someone who loves Amiga like icbrkr
will swoop them up fast....

I will have one more month of mortgage and one more month of food.. But icbrkr got the good deal he got all of my Amigas dude !!!

It's... it's so poetic!

You should have seen the wife's face as I filled the front room with Amigas, disks, games, and such. The the fun of sorting through it, trying to get it to fit in the game room, etc.

I've tested out a lot of them (though I can't seem to get the accelerators for the 2000 working, I figure it's just me), and the A1000 now has a GVP SCSI card and network card hooked to it through the Expansion Toolbox. 8MB of memory on a A1000 . It doesn't care to much for the 4GB drive I gave it but that's another story all together. I figure it is choking on the drive size, even though I partitioned it down to a 100MB boot partition.

One of the 500s went to a friend of mine who had one growing up. He's spent the last few days after work playing Champions of Krynn and Walker on it.

Thanks again Joe!
