Default Replacing A3000 floppy drive
Hi all

I think the drive in my A3000 maybe on its way out. Writing ADF's to various disks fail at various points. Can I use any Amiga internal drive or is the A3000 a specific type?

Depends if you have an 880KB or 1.76MB disk drive.
I think the 880 was called a 3010 and the 1.76MB a 3015.

In any case if you are only after 880Kb you should be able to use a replacement drive for an a1200 as long as it has been "rdy" modified. Worse case you will need spacers and a modified eject button unless you can score an original.

How is the rdy modification done? Got a link?

I can use the eject button from the original I should think.
