Default Mini MIG woes

I've been called many things in my time...

Add "HEAVY HANDED" to the list.

I was remounting my MiniMIg into it's ITX case and I pressed my inserted MMC card too hard against the case.
The end result is the spring and plastic housing towards the rear of the MMC card slot broke off and shot out the back due to the force placed upon the springs.

The MMC card slot is still there but it won't read my card.

anyway to fix this? I have been able to de-solder components before, is it possible to order another mmc card slot and resolder it on there.

The unit powers up and it just wont read the card. I had this happen to me initially before I realized the Mini-MIG was super picky with the MMC cards it uses.

HeLp...

Actually transfered all my Minimig files onto a much thicker ULTRAII 2 gb san disk SD card. Suprisingly this works. Thought MMig would only work with MMC cards. I guess the card is thick enough to register all pins.

Will try out the NTSC 60hz firmware version next

I don't see any problem to fix this. Just lookup Dennis parts list. And order it.
Just be careful when desoldering. And photograph anything. So you get correct pinout etc..
