@-D-
I thought that the TV doesn't have to be PAL if it has component inputs, isn't that important only for svideo/composite/RF(brr..)?

My telly does s-video and RGB through scart.
Have to agree a S-video signal is pretty good, not too far off RGB. Both are a million times better than composite

I think one can say that Amiga is like a religion, and I for one want to create very very equipped Amiga enthusiasts, to show the world or anyone who asks us, why we use Amigas, and represent it in a proper way. Too many people make Amigas look pathetic. Amiga doesnt desrve this. I use Amigas because I personally know how good they are, and it really is true that these machines are just superb. Its sad when Someone asks, "Oh yeah, can Amiga use USB or Compact Flash?" and some Amiga users are not aware that you can! easily. there is not alot of good or proper advertising in the Amiga community...........Exactly what killed the Amiga and Commodore. |

I thought the same thing, but unfortunately not... 2 LCDs and one CRT I've tried all displayed the same symptoms (garbled picture, lines missing, or rolling screen) regardless of the input being used. |

And what would you accomplish? People buying Amigas? It's pointless as you can't buy any new classic hardware except for Minimig which is nice but it's just an A500 suitable for demos and games and nothing more.
Sure, Amigas are nice and I enjoy mine but the crusade is long over; for more than a decade already. Face it.

I don't know what it will accomplish, but I like to give people a good and proper defense for the reason why I use Amigas, so that they don't go away with a false interpretation of me for one, that I am pathetic because I use an old Computer. And two because I believe the Amiga has to be represented properly, even for future reference of it. Too many people were told it was just a games machine. |
