Default The internal VGA-GADi doesn`t fit in my clockport..

Hello!

This is my first post on the forum, and I have (as you probably already know)a problem with my amiga 1200. My local Amiga-shop recommended I'd get a "VGA-GADi" card. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock, but luckily the shopkeeper had a used one he didn't need anymore.

I don't know much about Amiga hardware, and I haven't used mine for over a decade. Seeing as it is quite old I started playing with the idča of upgrading it. I bought an accelerator (Apollo 1230) and some ram (32 mb) and everything was fine. Then as i opened it up to fit the "VGA-GADi" card i noticed that it doesn`t fit in my 1200 clockport. Which is a real bummer as i was really looking forward to seeing the effect.

The thing is, i haven`t been a part of the amiga community for about 10 years, haven't been able to keep track of the advancements in hardware for the Amiga platform. Does anyone here have any advice. And if anyone here has the card, can you tell me how to fit it?

Sorry, but you don't buy one those instead?

They are intended for A2000 only.

Hi,

I took the card back to the shop (couldn´t make it fit at all). One of the people working there said it was an old PC PCI video card, and that there was no way it would ever fit in my Amiga. Well.. So much for that. Thanks anyway, and sorry for not posting any pictures, i figured just taking it back to the shop would be just as easy, seeing none of you had heard of something like a "VGA-GADi".

I´ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future!
My Amiga is up and running though. ;-)

Thanks for the help!
