Default A3000D+CS MKII=huh?

I need a little help. I have purchased a Cberstorm 060 MK II off of ebay and I can't seem to get my A3000 to accept it. The machine boots up fine without it in place or if it is in place, I can boot off of the floppy drive normaly and even see the memory on the board. However it will not acknowledge the Hard Drive. Neither the manual nor the A3000 manual are clear on wether or not I must move jumpers or which ones. Can anyone help?

yes, I suppose you need the good old INT2-fix....
you need to do some soldering...

Also, the SCSI module will not work if you overclock the MKII either.

I didn't think I would have to do that unless I wanted to use the onboard SCSI. I don't have the SCSI module which is why I didn't think it was necessary. I have another A3000D with a Warp Engine 040 card and that worked right away. Are you sure I have to do the int2 Mod?

Oh, you're right!

I took the scsi for granted, no need to do the
int2 mod then :-) Strange that it doesn't work
when the warp engine does..

What Ramsey rev do you have?, but then again
the warp eng.. :-)

The 040 card is actually in a differnt A3000 but I didn't have to change any jumpers. I did have to upgrade a chip or two. However the machine with the 060 card in it has the Ramsey 7, DMAC4, Buster 11, and the WD rev8 SCSI chip so I don't think there is anything else I could do with it. Any other thoughts?

The A3000 does not need upgraded chips just for the MKII itself. IIRC it does need the Buster 11 for the SCSI due to DMA issues.

IIRC jumpers should be set to stock settings.

I've heard of this before (MK2 disabling the internal SCSI interface of an A3k). Do some google on the thing, it seems that it's mostly depends on your custom chips versions. This does not imply that you should install the latest ones, some people have solved it by using the original ones.

I have all of the latest chips in the machine so that shouldn't be a problem should it? I guess I shall check out the site for more information. I'll be very annoyed if I bought an acclerator that I can't use.
