I grabbed this from ebay ATI VGA Stereo F/X 16-bit ISA Video Sound Card and I was wondering if anyone has used it before or has some more info. I managed to get the latest drivers from a thai website too.
But I was wondering how does it perform.
I plan to use it inside my Amiga4000 , where I have also the Vortex: Golden Gate 486SLC in order to save 1 shared zorro/isa slot.
anyone seen it before? I wonder if it will work :-? :-? :-?

With 1MB RAM it should be able to do at least 1024x768x8, and possibly 1152x864x8, 800x600x16, 640x480x24.

The YM3812 is just a (mono) FM synthesizer as on the SB2 and Adlib. So compatibility-wise it might be up to the level of an SB2 but not an SB Pro.

Amiga side: Well, do you have drivers for it?

I bought that card the day it hit the market. It really blew the doors off all the other PC sound cards. But, since it predated stereo Soundblasters, which became the industry standard, the Stereo(Alt+254)F/X, which had superior routines, didn't fit the standard, so decent drivers were hard to come by. I wrote lots of killer apps for that card, and was very proud of it until I ran into a guy with an Amiga 4000. (Didn't even get the idea from C= that Amiga's had sound at that point!)

Given the fact that drivers for it were not available for Win3.1 and Win95, I'd have to imagine they are even harder to come by now!

good, so it should work fine, on the pc side...
I am not interested to make it work on the amiga side, nor is it possible...
