I apologise for hijacking another thread so I re-post here.
Re: Advanced Amiga Analyzer found in storage Jesus I am getting sick of this pussyfooting around because of the (possible) piracy issues and this site's policies. You are good to offer some help but have to keep looking over your shoulder about years old software. It's the same thing as the guy offering to burn 3.9 roms for no more than the price of chip & post. You try to help and then get flamed as a pirate or worry that you may be. I say keep the Amiga alive by any means, even if it means piracy to keep the buggers going. Lets face it, there is not going to be much (if any) new 68k software in 10 years time as the Amiga.Com OS/5 will either take off, bomb or just never happen, and by then it will all be over. To end this rant just enjoy your miggy and do what you have to do. Live long and prosper. P.S. So that this does not get edited/deleted please note that I do not, have not and never ever, ever (cross my heart and hope to die) have supported piracy of any kind. Well, except for M$ who get everything they deserve. Oh and the recording industry, and Film Studios and, and etc.... :-D :-D :-D :-D |

Just thought of some new "Terms"......
Necessity - Amiga Piracy Trialware - M$ Piracy (We beta test the "finished" product so free trial should be allowed) Why Bother - Mac Piracy P.S. So that this does not get edited/deleted please note that I do not, have not and never ever, ever (cross my heart and hope to die) have supported piracy of any kind. Can we please get back to simply helping each other with our hobby instead of poking the hornets nest?
I, for one wish Amiga.org to have a long a productive life. I thank Wayne and the moderators for keeping this site going, despite the party poopers who want to push the law and see how far they can goad the cops before they start swinging the truncheons. Lets keep this site as a place to help each other instead of a {bleep} box to scream at the owners.

Hmmm....interesting. I thought that Amiga.org was an open place to discuss all things Amiga related possible piracy included.
The poster in that forum was trying to help others. What concerns me is that he is having to be carefull about what he says because of fears that he may be branded a pirate. If this is poking a hornet's nest I have yet to hear the warning buzz. I assume that you are suggesting I condone piracy. I leave that to you. However I have not offered anything to anyone (links or otherwise) and am just discussing a worrying trend. Are we no longer allowed to even discuss piracy. Is discussion and arguement illegal? Please note all those threads where the line "I will/have pm'd you". Makes you think don't it. Maybe PM'ing peeps will be made illegal soon. Where will this stupidity stop. |

bubble calm down man,
the policies of this site are the responsibility and perogitive of the site owner. if you want to start your own site and discuss piracy 24/7 go head. i can understand how "go ahead and pirate all you want" could be considered as bad as posting links. this isnt your web site, you are a guest, dont try to get the host in trouble.
