Default Database with password protection

I'm fed up.....well to be honest....; I have so many different logins and passwords I keep forgetting.

So I thought it would be nice to have a database I put all of them in and just protect it with one password. I know this would be the same as having just one password but this is a matter of choice I guess.

My thought is; this is a job my A1200 can do!

The question is; can anyone recommend good database software that allows password protection and....runs on an amiga 1200?

Thanks in advance.

How about downloading the txt copy of the KJ Bible and inserting the passwords in a specific book/chapter/verse and compressing it with PowerPacker, encrypted with a keyword?

:-)

(Then you'd probably want an ARexx script to accept a password, decompress and display just the data you want).

XBaze might be good for that. It has password protection and a nice GUI.

I use Superbase, a powerful Amiga database, available from Mr. Hardware Computers ( www.mrhardwarecomputers.com/ ). All you would need is the simpler one available on some CD's.

When Doppie made this thread I started to really like the idea of a password encryption thingie...

I succesfully did it with the spreadsheet util TurboCalc. Very nice and 3 types of passwords to not reveal it to the outside world

1. a general password for encryption
2. a password for reading it only
3. a password for reading and writing to it

Allthough the last two could be made together imo, one for encryption and one for reading is just great and would suit your needs just fine I think.

Greets,
