Default looking for SSL plug-ins

I've got my new system up and running but can't log into anything! I keep getting a SSL error in Ibrowse AND AwebIII.

I Downloaded AmiSSL but that didn't do anything for me. any other ideas or clues?

TANKZ!

Oh, and I have to use My PeeCee to do even Amiga.ORG cause ...

a:it won't let me post (post, review, and submit buttons
return errors)

b: wont save username and password (ok, this doesn't keep me from using it but hey! IT's annoying!!!)

If you're lucky enough to have a registered version of MiamiDx you can download the SSL plugin for that from
plughttp://www.vapor.com/download/pub/voyager/miamissl/

If I remember rightly problems arose between the writer of the program (whose name eludes me at present) and H&P, the result being the owner of the program is no longer distributing keyfiles. Could be wrong on this - I'm at college at the mo and don't have access to my miggy to check the facts.

If you don't have a registered version - since keyfiles are no longer being distributed - you'd have to buy an alternative SSL solution.

@Boot_WB: sharing key files is and always will be illegal, no matter what you think about it.

@J-Golden: If you don't find a second hand copy of Miami, you need AmiSSL V1 for AWeb and AmiSSL V2 for IBrowse. Both can be installed into the same directory. AmiSSL V1 consists of several archives (one main and multiple ciphers) which all have to be installed. Just follow the instructions.

In addition both browsers AFAIK have options to choose between MiamiSSL and AmiSSL. You have to set these to AmiSSL, of course.

Bye,
Thomas

You're right of course - I'm not in any way supporting the piracy of products or keyfiles - especially on the amiga which needs all the financial support it can get if we are EVER to get new products ported across (Lord: please bring me AutoCAD for the Amiga this Christmas :-) ), I was just pointing out (and perhaps I was wrong to do it) that since the owners of MiamiDx are no longer selling the product then no-one is losing licensing income in this particular case. One could argue (I suppose) that the sellers of alternative SSL solutions would lose out in this case, so I retract the point.
I would like to point out that I run only boxed and original software on my A1200, with the annoying exception of IDEfix which is an unregistered evaluation version - and I pay for this in reminder nags every 10 minutes or so. I will get around to registering it when I have the cash spare as I find it invaluable.

It should work no problem with IBrowse, make sure you set the program to accept cookies to log-in and post on amiga.org. Amissl works fine for me, better than Miamissl for that matter. Again, make sure you configure Ibrowse correctly to use Amissl.
