Default Bush accuses Castro of promoting sex tourism.

Um... so what? Prostitution is legal in places here too. What a dumb thing to say.

Anyway, it appears they have better educated hookers than we do.

And let's not forget the government sponsored gay porn films while we're at it.

Just the story. Fear not. No pics or sound or film here.

Actually you missed the whole point. Did you see the speech? It had nothing to dop with prostitution and everything to do with human trafficking. The underground sex slave trade is sick and should not be ignored.

Sure Cuban sex slaves are a problem, but not in Cuba, mainly in the UK. It's already illegal for them to leave Cuba, and the trade isn't being run from Cuba, it's mostly being run by people in the US and the UK.

The "sex trade" and the "sex tourism" are completely different though. The prostitutes in Cuba, that are marketed as tourist attractions, are legitamately regulated "old enough to know better" women.

I'm not sure what Cuba should be expected to do? They already prevent people from leaving, yet we encourage them to try. We even have political groups in florida who specialise in making it easir for people to smuggle children out of Cuba, against Cuban law. Of course this wasn't meant to encourage the sex trade, but it does make it easier.

Heck, look at the recent incident with the Cuban boy (Elian?) that made it to the US against his fathers will, Cuba had to fight to get him back. Who's really the problem when Cuba has to go to our Supreme court just to get one child returned?

Blaming Cuba for the sex slave problem is like blaming Africa for American slavery. (alright, well, not really, Africa was partly to blame, but it makes a nice sounding sound bite :-P)

Well from the segment of the speech i watched I got the impression the emphasis was on the illegal slave trade, not not necessarily on prostitution itself. IMHO it would be pretty stupid to condem Havana having open prostitution when we have it here in Nevada, which is obviously a major tourist destination. Hell, go across the border into Mexico and you really see a booming sex business.

About the Elian ordeal.. I am usually sympathetic to the Cubans Americans, but they were wrong on that one.

Meanwhile, in our own country, a well known "house" has made an offer to our millitary personnel, every single returning soldier get's to pick a prostitute of their choice, on the house, free sex for the enlisted, legally.

That's what I was thinking, what's the beef? Does he have some kind of religious aversion to engraven images of him possibly stealing his soul or something?

It made him look like Woody Allen in that dumb movie!

But from NASA today.
"Furthermore, NASA spokesman Bill Johnson said the Kerry campaign asked that the pictures be taken of the senator's unusually up-close tour of the Discovery and that processing be expedited so reporters could have them."

According to Slashdot, Bush's speech came from a thesis online (You just know whats comming next, don't you) and that the speech itself was a fabrication (In this case the authors summation of a speech put forward as fact) The reason Slashdot got hold of this story was because the student in question has taken issue with it being used without his permission...

Dunno if its correct, but given the US and UK's governments use of online information (Read: Opinion) as fact.

I think Kerry's handlers and more annoyed as his image people would want to vet all images and pass on only the ones they pick. Bush's team does the same thing and they're choked too when bad film and picks get by. However, Bush's people are have much better relations with the media and can get most things stopped if they don't like it. The flip side of that is they can get stupid Kerry pictures hyped too.

Since the US soldier is now getting sex as part of hie service package, and we already know that they can get their rock and roll as they sit in the sky shooting the locals, it's only reasonable that the also get drugs.

Pilots with a need for speed.
