Default In an Effort to Combat SpamBots we will be Refusing New Registrations from Hotmail
In an effort to combat SpamBots we will no longer be accepting registrations from Hotmail e-mail addresses starting today. If you use Hotmail and want to register as a new user please select an alternate e-mail address. We will also be reviewing all old accounts that use Hotmail for any Spam activity. If you are already registered and use Hotmail as your primary e-mail address you have nothing to worry about as long as you're not a SpamBot. If you are a SpamBot your account will be annihilated with extreme prejudice for 1 million Peta years.

Hotmail? Thought Microsoft were stopping that service and replacing it with outlook web mail or something.

Last time I used Hotmail was over 10 years ago :-)

You can still create new Hotmail e-mail accounts and spammers do it all the time.

I was under the impression that they were just dropping the Hotmail name and rolling everything into the live system.

No problems with Yahoo? At work we've been blocking them for a year now. Hotmail, MSN, Live, ... have just joined them recently...
