Any Internet community has its stupid loudmouths. I'm not going to claim this isn't tasteless, but then, it's not exactly up there with Barry asking an honestly interested party about his and his wife's sex life because he thought questions about pricing crossed the line.

A.org does not need this kind of crap threads. Moderators please close this thread so it can scroll off the front page to oblivion where it belongs.

amigadave - wouldn't it have been better for you to PM a mod rather than post in the thread.

Your post only pushed it back to the top of the forums keeping it active for that little bit longer.

My reply to your post has also increased it's lifespan

Excuse me?

I was only posting an opinion.

It clearly states in the title that it is a CUSA thread so why you even looked is mystifying.

I don't really see the need for the abuse.

Curious - I read your post on C-USA's forum, you asked a few questions and showed interest in their offerings. This traditionally (asking polite questions) usually gets you abuse there, but I saw nothing that you did wrong in the least. Who sent you the PM? I am curious if it's someone on their forums that is displeased with their offerings trying to run people off to slander C-USA, or if it's someone internally.

We're all seen a lot of venomous behavior from the C-USA people, but if they are sending these kinds of PM's to new people to their forums that are simply asking questions like you did, it's worse than I thought. I got my account removed there for politely asking what mainstream review sites would be covering the C64x, but I hope this is someone that's not affiliated with C-USA sending you such things.

If you are getting aggressive PM's on their site from them, that's simply abhorrent. People making suggestions or asking questions shouldn't be abused. The posts you made:

I assumed it was meant as an insult to Mr CEO rather than me and to scare off any potential customer, although the way the Amiga world seems to work perhaps you are right

Can't believe that your account was removed for that. Maybe being overly sensitive after the critiscism from the Amiga community I assume they have had.

I don't know that David was abusing you.
That is an offensive message you're relaying.

Summs nicely all running jokes on CUSA, maybe they have moved to joke on their own account?

However, very strange message. Maybe you had written something over the forum that has provoked anyone (user?) to send you such message

As I posted on Commodore-amiga.org, it was from a troll that was banned. Yes it does reflect poorly on the Amiga Community that there are mentally challenged within our community that create such an account in the specific purpose of spamming via PM such homophobic and mean spirited PMs. On behalf of Terminills and our volunteer moderators, I sincerely apologize for such a moronic and rude PM that some coward sent to you.

Thanks for the clarification, Dammy. While it's no big secret I am not a fan of C-USA, I highly suspected it was a detractor doing it rather than someone internal or otherwise a "regular".

Yeah, it's an obvious attempt to attack those who are posting with offensive PM(s) in order to cause disruption. The posting style closely resembles the posting style of Atheist2 on Moobunny.

Assuming it is true, no it does not. Not part of the Amiga Community.

Well as far as C-USA is concerned I wish them the best of luck. I know there is a lot of people who have a kind of negative prospective of them, but hey they have done more than amiga did after the Commodore bankruptcy and at least there are some type of products made (regardless if it is a PC with commodore logo on it). As it stands the original Commodore and Amiga is dead, so for now it is the best that is offered that has any resemblence to Amiga or Commodore. So many people want CUSA threads removed, but then we get threads about mac or things on sale on Ebay. C'mon people if someone is interested in possible Amiga computers appearing in the future it is an Amiga related thread regardless if anyone really believes that CUSA will produce anything remotely similiar to what an Amiga has always been. The new Amigas (if they arrive) will be about as close to the original Amigas as a Mac is related to it. Stop whining about it and either give the thread opener a actual descent response or don't read the thread. If you don't support the new CUSA fine, but some people may have a slight interest, at least on seeig if anything besides a PC that says Amiga on it comes to fruitation and is actually worth looking at. Let's at least try to support each other in a more possitive way on here and base responses on constructive opinions instead of bashing all the time. Cheers!!!
