Default WTB: 128MB SIMM (72 pin) for Blizzard 1230

I've been checking ebay periodically for over a year, no luck. Seen some 128MBs that are pretty cheap, but too thick. I'd really like to get this machine up to the max RAM it can handle.

Anybody have one they'd part with, or know of a source?

Oh, nice! Doesn't show on the US ebay. Thanks! I'm a little concerned about the statements that you need to lift your Amiga and use a rubber band to make them fit, so I'll try searching for some others on European ebay... otherwise maybe I'll give it a try.

@murple: dont worry my friend. I have been using 128MB just like that for almost 4 years inside my A1200...never had a single issue...

Go and buy it! You wont regret it!!!

Yeah I bought one. If it isnt a perfect fit, it should at least work until I can find a better one. I don't mind hacking it in with a rubber band, as long as there's no risk of it damaging the hardware by bending it etc.

I've never been entirely comfortable with the idea of securing them with rubber bands. especially given the heat in and around a fast processor, but it isn't like we have a lot of alternatives. I wonder if a hard plastic tie-wrap would be better?

I'm don't think single-sided 128M modules were ever made. Anyone ever found single-sided 64M modules?

It doesn't even come CLOSE to fitting, unless I want to rip the CPU off the accelerator... which would be sort of pointless. I suppose you could also try to jam it in there with a hammer, which would produce the same result of having a worthless accelerator. God dammit.

Anybody want to buy a worthless piece of crap SIMM before I turn it into a keychain or throw it in the trash?
