Amiga Marketplace This forum is here so that members can alert other members to Amiga items they've seen on eBay (or other auctions). If you are selling Amiga items on eBay, you might let us know about them here. Likewise, if you're selling Amiga items sans eBay, this is the "for sale" forum.

Default FS: Pegasos 1 (april 1 fix)

Because of a serious lack of space and time to set up the system properly, I am hereby selling my Pegasos 1 (april 1 fix). I've been wanting to use it as a secondary system next to my A4000, but it has been sitting on the floor next to my desk for way too long now, which is a shame really.

Besides that I'm way too busy the next few months, so I guess I'll wait for MorphOS to come available on the Efika to give it another try...

The board comes with 2x128MB RAM (IIRC) and is fitted in a nice small black/grey desktop µATX case, with floppy drive and CD-ROM. I will also consider selling the board separately, to avoid high shipping rates - maximum shipping costs including the case will be around EUR 55,00 (for shipping worldwide - shipping within Europe would be somewhat cheaper).

Only minor detail is that one of the "grips" from the main IDE connector is snapped off. This does not affect any functionality of the system.

Looking for a good offer, otherwise I'll throw it on Ebay in a week.

Shipping worldwide. Pictures of the case will follow.

What are these worth and how do they compare to the PEG II

120Euro for the board, maybe more if he really has 256MB.

Rest depends on wether you intend to use it, 200-250 should be o.k.

Peg2 mostly comes with G4s clocked at 1GHz, don't suffer from those annoying Articia-Bus, come with newer firmware, can be fitted with high amounts of RAM much easier, runn with 133MHz FSB instead of 100MHz, will offfer much better RAM-bandwith ....

Thats why even a Peg2-G3 still costs about twice as much as an Peg1.

Dunno really, I don't see them on sale often. They're not as popular as a Peg2, but it's still a nice system I presume...

There surely are more differences than those mentioned on wikipedia, but these are the most important I think.

The April fixes solved some problems in the Articia chip.

For a lot of information, check The Pegasos Book:

http://thepegasosbook.charra.fr/

I'm afraid that you can't change the board from April 1 to April 2. Well, maybe it's possible, but I doubt it would be worht the effort.
