patience ? The Amiga Community is the most patience around I would say... Sure we grumble...

Anyway, how about; how much does the current REBOL differ from the original design idea ?

OK,

here is my question, who are you and why should I care....

lmao, i'm just kidding, of course, I remember reading Carl's occasional post on c.s.a.m long ago...and I used rebol from about the time it became public.

great scripting language.

OK, my question, what is the next big thing in programming languages?

Is there any plans for a MorphOS or AmigaPPC version of Rebol or are there any plans to bring the existing Amiga versions of Rebol up to date?

I have already privatly asked all the questions I want ed to ask him :-D

but the best question was:

"How the hell did you dream up exec!" I mean in 1983 why would anyone want a multitaking executive on a desktop computer? Where did he get his ideas from? How did the design evolve?

How does Carl feel about the current situation in the Amiga market? How does he feel about the split? More importantly, will the new platforms based on his past work see the fruits of his current work?

Oh yeah, can Carl be convinced to visit AmiWest? My old "REBOL Alliance" flag is turning yellow from age! ;-)

Aright, my question:

Where do you see REBOL going in the next 2 years? 5 years?

If there were no computers, say take you back a hundred years, what do you think you would have done for a living instead? Invented a better telephone?

My Rebol question....
I'm an Oracle DBO but not a programmer or developer, after reading about Rebol Commander 2.0 I was curious if it had the tools or capacity to let me do database monitoring and maintenace similar to Oracle's OEM?
And can I get my Guru's Guide - Meditation #1 signed ? :-D

Mr Sassenrath,

If Genesi or Hyperion offered to pay you a very large sum of money to work on MorphOS/AOS4, would you take them up on the offer, maybe as a nostalgia trip?

Do you still use an Amiga at all, if not which is the main platform that you use daily?

Which current multitasking OS kernel do you think has the best design, NT/Linux/*BSD/UNIX(Whichever derivative)/BeOS/Neutrino/Exec/Quark?

Thankyou, and may I add that you are a demi-god! :-D

- How many developers were involved in the first AmigaOS release and how long did it take to finish it?

- Have you tried out MorphOS? AmigaOS 3.9? Do you feel that they carry the Amiga heritage with dignity?

1. I heard stories of users having a great passion for the Rebol Platform/language. There has obviously been a passion surrounding the Amiga too. When you work on something do you think "This is going to inspire people and change the way they think"? What do you think it is you do that makes others so enthusiastic about technology?

2. What do you think of what the Freiden Brothers have done with ExecSG, from what you've heard?

3. I've read before that the Los Gatos (sp?) Commodore-Amiga group had advanced designs for the next Amiga chipset. Were there any such plans for an improved AmigaOS? If so what would it have been like?

4. Who put in the "We made Amiga, they ****ed it up" message into workbench?
